JR GUARD TO HOLD CARWASH

The Monroe County Jr. Guard will hold a fundraiser car- wash on Tuesday, May 21, at the Sun and Shine car wash, from 2 to 5:30 p.m., to raise money to buy American Flags for the schools and earbuds for the Reading Plus Program. Car washes are $8 per car.

MOTHER-SON RENDEZVOUS TO BE HELD

Old Mulkey Meetinghouse State Historic Site will host its Mother-Son Rendezvous on Saturday, March 30, at 9 a.m. The event is open to mothers and sons ages 6 to 96. Activities include tent pitching, several types of marksmanship, orienteering, backyard fishing, whittling marbles and more. You MUST pre-register by March 15, in order to participate.

MONROE YOUTH THEATRE TO PRESENT PLAY

The Monroe Youth Theatre will present “Dearly Departed,” a play raved as “drop dead funny,” on Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 24, at 2:30 p.m., at the old high school auditorium. The cost for adults is $6 with students admitted for $3.
