KING OF THE BLUEGRASS DERBY TO BE HELD

The Allen County Jaycees are sponsoring the 2018 King of the Bluegrass State Championship Demolition Derby on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m., at the Allen County Fairgrounds, featuring drivers from Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee, competing for over $10,000 in cash prizes and a championship belt. “CHAIRITY” EVENT TO BE HELD

The Friends of Old Mulkey will host the third annual “CHAIRity” event on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 5:30 p.m., in the Meetinghouse. The event will include an auction of custom chairs and gospel singing by “The Singing Seniors” of Bowling Green, who are led by former Monroe Countian, Wayne Strode. The Molly Harlin Basketball Camp will be held on Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31, for boys and girls, grade K- 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.,  with k-2 dismissing at 12 noon.
