It’s beginning to look a lot like Fall

It is a beautiful day for a walk so if you feel like going for a stroll, make sure to head down Main St., and around the square. Fall decorations are out and you can’t help but smile when you see them.

A portion of Main St., in the downtown area is closed today, Wednesday, Oct. 17, for continuing repairs.

Homecoming Parade nearing start

Monroe County High School students are getting ready for the parade. It will start at approximately 12:30 p.m., heading down Main, onto Celina Rd., to TES and circling back to the high school.  

Homecoming activities now ongoing

Homecoming festivities kicked off tonight with the annual bonfire at the stadium. The parade is tomorrow at 12:30 p.m., down Main St., and onto Celina Rd. The game is tomorrow night at 7 p.m., with the Homecoming Queen to be crowned during halftime.

TRUCK PULL TO BENEFIT THE BACKPACK PROGRAM TO BE HELD

The 4th annual Pull to Feed the Kids, a truck pull, sponsored by Precision Engineering, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., at the Monroe County Fairgrounds. All proceeds from this event go toward the Backpack Program.
