Homecoming week festivities featured from MCHS

MCHS students participated in several festivities leading up to the grand finale of Homecoming held on Friday, Jan. 31.
Dress up days – such as PJ Day, Superhero Day, Camo/Western Day, Generation Day and Spirit Day were held.
A pep rally was also held on Friday afternoon in the gymnasium with coaches speaking to the students to encourage them to attend the game and fill the student section.
“You have no idea how much of an advantage you can make in a ballgame,” Head Coach Ashley Geralds noted.
Later that night, between the two ball games, the candidates and their escorts were introduced to the crowd, with the Queen crowned by last year’s winner, Grace Turner, escorted by Assistant Principal Billy Joe Murphy.
Alayna Hodges was crowned Queen with Christine Webb, Connor Geralds and Kennedy Thurman named as finalists.
