The Monroe County Protection and Permanency office hosted balloon launches at Tompkinsville Elementary, Joe Harrison Carter Elementary and Gamaliel Elementary Schools during the month of April for Child Abuse Awareness Month. Each blue balloon had an attached note stating "Help Child Abuse Go UP UP and Away" with a toll free number to call to report abuse.
